The Rise of Short Nails

The Rise of Short Nails

By: Olivia Blackwell

In the fashion and beauty world, we constantly hear about the newest way to make a bold statement. This year, however, the opposite is true with nails; short and simple manicures are taking 2023 by storm. Combining elegance and functionality, short nails are the best of both worlds.

Celebrities like Olivia Rodrigo, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift have all contributed to short nails being all the buzz right now. We are seeing many celebrities opt for a shorter nail for the sake of convenience, especially in the music industry. Short to medium-length manicures are perfect for achieving practicality while giving an elegant and chic look.

The simplicity of shorter nails can be balanced out with the freedom of color. The possibilities are endless when you can opt for a classic nude or something more eye-catching like a cherry red or neon hue.

A simple manicure does not always have to compromise originality. Through countless nail art and accent options, short nails do not have to be boring. Layer short nails with a french tip, shiny glaze, or unique design to let individuality shine through.

Sometimes less is more, even with nails. Perfectly balancing elegance and creativity, short nails are here to stay.
