A Recap of the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

By Morgan Toporek — October 21, 2025

The 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debuted on Oct. 15 at Steiner Studios in New York City. Iconic Victoria’s Secret models returned to the stage, such as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Barbara Palvin, along with new faces like Angel Reese, Quenlin Blackwell, and Barbie Ferrara. The brand has been working to lean into diversity and inclusivity by including a wide array of models. The segments throughout the show strove to reflect a balance of tradition and relevance.

This opening segment, “First Light,” set the tone, as the name portrays dawn and renewal. The first model, Jasmine Tookes, shocked the audience by walking the runway nine months pregnant. This first look framed this as both a return to glory and a fresh start. The creative direction for this year's show was based on the names of the brand’s fragrances, rather than traditional costume themes. “First Light” also suggested hope and transformation, for the brand today must meet in the middle between nostalgia and renewal.

Then the show transitioned to the Bombshell segment, which is arguably the most iconic VS term. “Bombshell” represents glamour and power, and femininity. This segment showed bold silhouettes, statement wings, and louder fabrics with more dramatic styling. With Gigi Hadid opening the segment, and stars like Angel Reese walking their first-ever runway, nothing said Bombshell more than this portion of the show.

Next was the iconic VS PINK segment, which VS brought back for the first time since 2018. This segment channeled PINK’s playful, college energy. The segment’s name, “Halftime,” presented lighter, athletic-inspired looks. Models like Barbie Ferreira made their VS debut, representing the PINK line and younger energy through sporty and relaxed loungewear to show the functionality PINK offers.

The “Hot Pursuit” section featured a performance by Karol G, infusing the runway portion with a Latin-pop dance energy. This segment brought edge and modernity to the show. It showed that VS can give not just fantasy, but something you feel and move with. There was dynamic staging, runway choreography, and many red lingerie and lace looks.

“Magic Hour” evoked the golden hour of twilight, featuring warm light, dramatic shadows, and romance. Twilight is the moment between day and night, making this segment seem a little mysterious. It provided a transitional moment in the show after the high energy and intense hues of hot pursuit. They gave us an ethereal and romantic shift before the dark and bold finale.

The grand finale, “Black Tie,” presented all the glamour while also hinting at a sense of mystery. It was where the show pulled out all the stops: show-stopping wings, dramatic walkouts, and high energy. After all the segments, this was the moment that the brand wanted you to leave the show thinking about. Given VS’s current mission to recapture cultural relevance, the “Black Tie” segment doubled as both a fashion moment and a brand statement by showing luxury and inclusivity.
