Christian Dior Resort 2022

Christian Dior Resort 2022

Christian Dior has done it again! Impressed is an understatement at every collection released by the famed Dior, and the Resort 2022 pieces are no exception.

Designer Maria Grazia Chiuri found much inspiration from the time of quarantine and stay-at-home orders worldwide during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.  According to Vogue.com, she notes that she often found herself and others walking around their homes in order to get any bit of movement possible for their bodies; thus, she was drawn to the idea of sports and movement, planting her seed of inspiration in the origin of sports itself, the Panathenaic Stadium dating back to 330 BC.

This Grecian-inspired and sports-oriented collection hit every high note, featuring many styles and pieces that were no less than extraordinary.  Think runway meets streetwear meets ancient Greece, and a beautiful combination of the three.

Variations are plenty when it comes to the different styles and looks seen on the runway, all of which have noticeable small details that give nod to and appreciation for the Greek culture of which inspiration was drawn for the collection.

Further emphasizing her idea centered around sports, these looks are often paired with a classic Dior sneaker.  Also, staying true to the brand, the classic “CHRISTIAN DIOR” logo featured on bag straps, socks, and other items are included simply and seamlessly.

The additions of studded cuffs, headbands, gold necklaces, and other Grecian-inspired accessories further elevate each look, making each memorable and distinguishable to the highly regarded Dior reputation.

The looks featured here are just a drop in the bucket, but head over to the Dior website to browse more at the other looks seen on the runway!
