Eternal Gold: Prada’s New Jewelry Line

Eternal Gold: Prada’s New Jewelry Line

By: Claire Watkiss

The first Prada store opened over a century ago in Milan, Italy. Since then we have seen the brand produce everything from apparel and footwear to fragrances and eyewear. The luxury fashion house makes a statement on the runway each season with a mix of artful and contemporary pieces.

Prada just announced their new jewelry line, calling it Eternal Gold. The brand is utilizing 100 percent recycled gold in its collection which features 48 new pieces. Buyers will receive a card with their item telling them exactly where the gold on their piece came from. Prada’s pieces will include gold from things like manufacturing scraps and even the circuit boards from smartphone devices.

The line will follow the brand’s image, with jewelry pieces that are chunky yet simple, and contemporary overall. The name of the collection follows the idea of timelessness, creating pieces that are made to last and blend bold and classic styles.

These pieces will be available at select Prada flagship stores, with prices upon request.
