Jacquemus Spring 2024 Ready-To-Wear

Jacquemus Spring 2024 Ready-To-Wear

By: Elena Ossoski

Promoted by Sex and the City’s beloved Charlotte York, Kristin Davis, the latest ready-to-wear collection from Jacquemus was presented at the Maeght Foundation in Nice, France. Appropriately dubbed, “Les Sculptures,” the collection had a modest color palette with a robust range of multi-dimensional silhouettes. The looks were sculptures themselves, coming to life thanks to the models who commanded the unconventional runway.

Gigi Hadid opened the show in a belted overcoat in a shade similar to her latte-colored tresses, which were swept to the side with minimal effort. Although the shapes and dimensions were abstract at times, the collection remained simplistic and polished in its totality. The looks were equally as suitable for a Park Avenue princess as they would be for any frequenter of the downtown spot “to see and be seen.”

On par with the latest trend reports, the rather neutral color palette was broken up with a bit of red and cheetah print.  The incorporation of leather interrupted the habitual use of layerable, lightweight textiles that are traditionally used in many spring collections.

Jacquemus’s bride closed the show in an asymmetrical gown paired with a veil seemingly lighter than air. The movement was heavenly, inducing awe in the show’s spectators. The collection has received much-deserved praise for its apparent beauty.
