Peter Do x Banana Republic

Peter Do has had a notable influence on the fashion industry since the start of his career. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2014, Do worked for Celine's atelier before returning to the United States to release his brand, Peter Do, at NYFW in 2021.
Following two successful showings during fashion month, Peter Do and Helmut Lang respectively, Do released a capsule collection with Banana Republic. The collection, featuring 28 pieces, embraces edgy minimalism that blends with Banana Republic's timeless, tailored reputation. Do meshed the chic allure of Banana Republic with convertible elements and bold prints, entrancing both die-hard Do fans and the typical Banana Republic consumer.
Upon releasing this collection, Do noted that he typically makes clothes to sell to 1% of the population. He said this collection “felt like the right time to open up the conversation to offer Peter Do at a more democratic price point.”
The collection first debuted at Paris Fashion Week before hitting the racks of Banana Republic on October 10. Do admires the freedom of the collection, as no piece adheres to any gender, thus conceptualizing an element of modern fashion unique to Do. The collection is undeniably recognizable as Do’s through his infamous use of unique layering and contrasting elements. Do reiterates that his favorite part of the creative process is that the only rule is that there is no rule, and each piece of any collection he creates can be styled however consumers see fit without boundary.
