Loewe Fall/Winter 2024

Jonathan Anderson showcased his latest collection with Loewe at Château de Vincennes during Paris Fashion Week. The collection fused the line between high and low, with working-class style reimagined in the world of luxury.
Following the show, Anderson raised the question: “Why do we buy things and do those things have meaning?” Looking back over the years, society’s perception of clothing continues to shift.
From using beadwork to imitate caviar to creating the illusion of a pinstripe suit, Anderson’s goal was to trick his audience into seeing something else. Through intentionally confusing two elements, classic suits worn by the British royal family were altered to become hybrid dresses in one example of this mirage.
From perfectly crafted collars, optical illusions, pillowy skirts, head-to-toe pleats, and reimagined morning suits, Anderson set both himself and Loewe ahead of the times.
