Echoing themes of the girlhood-inspired spring collection, Simone Rocha’s fall collection brought a taste of youth to London Fashion Week on Feb. 22. The Dublin-born designer repeatedly referenced her Irish heritage in the show, most notably through the nods to Celtic mythology. Rocha blurred the line between mythicism and reality, telling a story with the Fall 2026 collection.
In an interview with Elle Magazine, Rocha explained that her role as a designer is to “tell stories” and that when you show your emotions through your collections, “...you can make something that can resonate with others.”
Rocha was fascinated by a 1999 Dublin-centered series by Perry Ogden entitled Pony Kids, specifically its fashion: equestrian outfits blended with hand-me-downs and sportswear. Rocha also made nods to the Irish Arts and Crafts Movement of the early 20th century, telling Elle that she, “...just felt this whole characterisation could be a really interesting story to tell, and felt very fitting for today”.
The looks in the collection were fantastical yet grounded in reality. Some looks featured elaborate sequined designs and ribbon-laced dresses, while others highlighted familiar pieces to the modern world, such as fur coats and Adidas sportswear.
Rocha said, “For many, many years, [she has] had a vision for a feminine proposition in sports,” adding that she hoped to bring femininity to sportswear through her collection.
Through the Rocha X Adidas collaboration, the Fall 2026 collection created something new and appealing to young women. While diving into the allure of mysticism, the collection also kept a grounded, tangible hold on femininity in the real world.
