Square Magazine Staff Picks: Influencers to Follow for Style Inspiration

Square Magazine Staff Picks: Influencers to Follow for Style Inspiration

By: Aliza Warner

Fashion is all about inspiration. Designers, stylists, writers, and well, everyone gets their creativity from the environment around them (and no, we do not mean copying). Inspiration is about embracing others' creativity and developing our own ideas with that. Nowadays, everyone is sharing their style across social media, and many of us get style inspiration from Instagram and the influencers we follow. Here are some of the staff's picks of their favorite influencers that inspire us daily.

1. Arielle Charnas

“Arielle Charnas is the founder and designer of Something Navy. I love her style and brand because they are elevated classics. She does not fall into trends but sticks to the basics that make each piece a worthy investment. The quality of the clothes is incredible. Arielle is really good at showing how to take a look from day to night, dress up or dress down a look, and inspires me to play with what is already in my closet to create fun looks!” - Eleanor Hoover, Copy Editor

“I have followed Arielle since I was in middle school! She has the most eclectic and classy style. She has inspired me and my style so much. She recently started her own fashion brand which is also sustainable! Arielle has inspired me to hopefully start and run my own clothing brand one day!” - Grace Barrett, Business Team

2. Nina Sandbech

“I love her art of color blocking. She has such a way of not only finding clothing pieces that flow when put together but also certain shades of colors that balance each other out extremely well. There is not only such an art to color blocking, and finding the right shades of colors to look balanced when put beside each other. On top of that, to be able to put on oversized pants with a feather tube top and an oversized blazer, and have the whole outfit flow - she truly has one of the most well-respected fashion senses in my opinion. The world needs more color.” - Millie Conn, Business Team

3. Brigette Pheloung

Instagram: @acquired.style

“I think that Brigette is most definitely not afraid of color. She incorporates tons of bright colors and patterns into her fits in such a wearable way. I really respect her as an influencer because she started from the bottom and got to where she is all through hard work. She is humble with her work, which I really value in an influencer. I love the girly style that she matches with grungier pieces, such as a sundress with cowboy boots. She wears a variety of brands, both affordable and designer, which I enjoy seeing, too.” - Claire Watkiss, Editorial Team

4. Hannah Oh

Instagram: @hannahohx

“I love the way Hannah incorporates color and prints into her everyday looks. Every outfit she has worn is always so fun, vibrant, and unique in every way. She also loves to wear maxi-length dresses, which she pulls off so beautifully. Hannah has definitely inspired me to try to incorporate more prints into my wardrobe in new ways, which is something I have always wanted to do but did not know how to do it. Hannah is also a writer for the CR Fashion Book and writes the most amazing articles!” - Aliza Warner, Editorial Team

5. Hailey Baldwin-Bieber & Julia Havens

Instagram: @haileybieber, @jujhavens

“They both have a tomboy-chic style, which is so me. I love the slicked buns, heavy jewelry, oversized clothes, sneakers paired with an oversized sunny.” - Gracie Farquhar, Creative Team

6. Camille Charriere

Instagram: @camillecharriere

“Her style is always chic and timeless while simultaneously on-trend. There is always an edge that makes a classic look seem new again. She is the ultimate cool girl and one of my biggest—if not my top—personal style icons.” - Elena Ossoski, Editor-in-Chief

7. Angelica Barwich

Instagram: @angelicabarwich

“She has mastered the art of a uniform. Angelica Barwich goes back to the same pieces over and over and shows how easy it is to create a style around a few simple pieces. She has found the perfect balance between comfortable and chic by pairing sleek buns with loose button-downs, breezy sundresses, and two-piece suits. Her style is simple yet curated, and I find myself looking to her for inspiration every season.” - MC Middleton, Editorial Team
