The Global Ambassadors Who Dominated Fashion Month

By Kirsten Arnsdorff — October 13, 2025

Asian global ambassadors redefined luxury and global influence during September 2025 fashion month. From Park Jimin and Kim Jisoo to Bright Vachirawit and Văn Mai Hương, global ambassadors this season not only represented Asia but also shaped the conversation around contemporary fashion.

BTS’s Park Jimin and BLACKPINK’s Kim Jisoo at Dior

Global K-pop idols Jimin and Jisoo attended the Dior Spring 2026 show at the Tuileries Garden in Paris. As global ambassadors for Dior, both stars were invited to watch Jonathan Anderson unveil his debut womenswear collection for the brand.

Thousands of BTS fans gathered outside the venue to admire Jimin’s new look, which was curated by Dior and Jonathan Anderson. He was adorned in Dior’s Spring 2025 menswear collection, including a tailored black blazer exposing his bare chest and low-rise black leather pants. He also wore three Diorette floral necklaces, a four-leaf clover pendant, and a Diorette rose pendant. This was Jimin’s first public appearance since returning from military service, and he shocked the world with new blonde hair and a seductive, yet elegant look.

Jisoo sat front row at the show, making a statement about her partnership with Dior. Her front-row fitting by Jonathan Anderson included a white Oxford shirt, white bow tie, charcoal grey vest, and pleated black shorts. She was also wearing a mint green Dior handbag on her arm.

BTS’s Kim Taehyung (V) at Celine

The Celine Spring 2026 show was held at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud in Paris. As global ambassador for Celine, K-pop idol Kim Taehyung (V) attended the show to mark his first public appearance after his military service ended in South Korea. He waved to his fans and happily skipped as he made his way into the venue. He was wearing pieces from Celine’s newest menswear collection: a sleek chestnut long coat over a white shirt and a leopard print tie. He was also spotted searching for four-leaf clovers at the venue, and his sweet appearance made headlines all over social media. Taehyung brought more discussion of how K-pop idols are connecting music, culture, and personality to the global fashion industry.

Naniwa Danshi’s Akira Michieda at Valentino

Member of the Japanese idol group Naniwa Danshi, Akira Michieda, arrived at the Valentino runway show exuding a classy, princely style. He wore a black-and-white striped turtleneck layered under a black Japanese-style school uniform for men called a Gakuran (学ラン) or Tsume-eri (詰襟), characterized by its distinctive embroidered standing collar and red, flowery cuffs with a gold-buttoned front. He completed the look with straight-leg trousers and a long red belt worn high around his waist, along with a black Valentino handbag and shoes with gold hardware.

Bright Vachirawit, Stray Kids’s Kim Seung-min, and Vietnamese star Văn Mai Hương at Burberry

Burberry’s Spring 2026 show was held during London Fashion Week.

Thai actor, singer, and model Bright Vachirawit is known for his lead role as “Thyme” in the popular drama series “F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers.” He attended the runway show in a chic, oversized wool coat with a tapestry-inspired pattern as the centerpiece, which added a cozy vibe to the overall look.

Seungmin, the lead vocalist of K-pop group Stray Kids, looked dapper in a cross-stitched navy sweater, inspired by a 15th-century tapestry, and leather pants. His outfit showcased Burberry's signature blend of heritage and modern design.

Văn Mai Hương is a prominent Vietnamese pop and R&B singer. She was the first Vietnamese representative invited by Burberry to attend one of their fashion shows in London. She wore a cream-colored Burberry trench coat, a plaid shirt, and black boots.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Stray Kids’ Felix at Louis Vuitton

Thai K-pop idol Lisa and Australian-born K-pop idol Felix shared photos of each other on social media, sparking global fan raves over the duo.

Lisa wore a colorful ensemble of knits, including high-waisted red micro shorts, a yellow bralette, a wide dark blue belt, layered pearl necklaces, and white Louis Vuitton Knot pumps.

Felix captivated the whole venue with his newly transformed pink hair, a white utility jacket detailed with pockets and zippers, and black pants with a silver chain.

Ateez’s Wooyoung at Courrèges

Jung Wooyoung is a South Korean vocalist and lead dancer for the K-pop group Ateez. This was his third consecutive show with the brand. He took pictures with the creative director of Courrèges, Nicolas Di Felice, backstage, and Nicolas happily asked to greet Wooyoung’s fans with him outside the venue. Wooyoung was dressed in a custom sleeveless black gilet with matching trousers and boots, embodying the concept of the collection with futuristic metallic elements.

SEVENTEEN’s Wen Junhui and Actor Sang Heon Lee at Maison Margiela

This runway show presented Glenn Martens’ first collection for Maison Margiela.

Chinese lead dancer Wen Junhui (JUN) arrived in a smart, casual, grey and black layered blazer look. He was seated in the front row for the show.

South Korean actor, starring as Min-Ho in the hit Netflix Series “XO, Kitty,” Sang Heon Lee wore a coat featuring a textured, almost distressed finish, matching trousers, and his signature long hair tucked behind his ears.

The presence of these global ambassadors at the world’s most prestigious runways highlighted the growing impact of Asian talent and style in the global fashion industry.

And if you’re wondering who the author’s bias might be? Let’s just say Kim Taehyung never misses a look.
