Three Jackets for Every Cold Weather Occasion

Three Jackets for Every Cold Weather Occasion

Jackets have always been one of my favorite clothing items. From the various shades of denim jackets I hoard to my favorite leather blazers and sherpa zip-ups, I have always felt that a jacket can transform an outfit instantly. They are easy to layer and can make it seem like you put a lot of effort into your look. However, with the cooler months ahead, a denim or leather jacket just won’t cut it anymore. Invest in these jackets and you will be more than set for the fall and winter seasons ahead.

1. Aritzia Tna The Super Puff Shorty

Puffer jackets have been a trend for quite some time. After all, they are both stylish and extremely comfortable, plus they provide unmatched warmth. The technology that Aritzia has developed within its Super Puff line is unlike any other brand. Their puffers are crafted with goose down and will keep you warm up to -22 degrees Fahrenheit. Whether you choose to wear as little as a blouse underneath up to a thick hoodie, this jacket will supplement your outfit flawlessly. My only warning is this: there is an abundance of colors, fabrics, and lengths to choose from, so expect to spend quite some time picking your favorite one.

2. Abercrombie & Fitch Teddy Coat

For any upcoming holidays or more formal activities you have planned this fall or winter, a longer more sophisticated jacket can do you no wrong. These teddy coats have been popping up all over my feed, and I think they are a great spin on the shorter versions we have seen in years past. They can be worn with anything from jeans to leather pants to even a maxi skirt and complement it well. This style of jacket provides a bit more warmth due to the few extra inches it has and the fabric itself practically feels like you’re wearing a blanket.

3. Urban Outfitters Olivia Printed Sherpa Jacket

While this jacket is a bit on the lighter side, it is perfect for transitioning to get used to the cooler weather. This black and white option in particular caught my eye due to the unique pattern. Although fall and winter encourage us to stick to the neutrals, a fresh print is always a good idea to switch things up and keep your closet feeling new. I am picturing this cozy sherpa jacket with some simple black flare yoga pants and your favorite sneakers. This jacket is ideal to wear while walking on campus, and even better to throw on after sweating it out in a workout class.
