What They’re Wearing in: Austin, Texas

A quick weekend trip to Austin, Texas left me feeling refreshed and inspired to try out some new looks. The overwhelming feelings I experienced while walking the streets were that less is more and that effortlessness is in. 

Colorful workout sets of all kinds could be seen while walking the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge on a bright and early Saturday morning. My matching periwinkle set from Lululemon suited the day perfectly. 

While walking down South Congress Avenue, peeking in and out of stores, crowds of people were sporting elevated athleisure. A girl wearing an athletic romper with her hair pulled back in two tiny claw clips perfected her look with New Balance sneakers and a pair of ankle socks.

Among the sporty looks worn by the masses, there are plenty of stylish citizens in the city of Austin. Inside the Tecovas store, the salesman wore  a long, flowy dress with, of course, a pair of Tecovas. Her hair was lightly waved and she kept her face fresh with the slightest bit of makeup, keeping her overall look elegantly simple to mirror the jewelry she had on. 

The city of Austin keeps your days full, and its people have a fresh outlook on personal style. Minimalism can be seen in street style all over the world, and Austin is a city of people who are implementing this style into their everyday wear. Texas may not be the first place you think of when you think of fashion, but Austin is certainly a place to take style inspiration from.
