Delicious Vegetarian Recipes To Try This Summer

By Audrey Cooper — June 24, 2025

A staple vegetarian diet is one that does not contain any meat or seafood. There are, however, many alterations to this basic plan depending on personal preference. Some people following the vegetarian diet may choose to avoid eggs and dairy products, while others may include one or both of these products on a regular basis. Motivations for beginning a vegetarian diet can also vary from person to person, but one thing that most agree on is the health benefits that a well-rounded vegetarian diet can offer.

It is heavily recommended to meet with a physician or nutritionist prior to pursuing the diet in order to ensure it is done correctly and that you are still consuming all the vitamins and proteins your body needs. Vegetarian diets typically offer lower intakes of saturated fat, calories, cholesterol, and animal protein, and higher intakes of fiber, potassium, vitamin C and E, and complex carbohydrates. Vegetarian diets must be well-balanced in order to prevent any deficiencies. Thankfully, there are many classic meals that can be revamped to fit a vegetarian diet.
