Letter from the Editors: June 2023

With warmer weather upon us, we could not be more excited for summer at Square Magazine. Our staff will be out and about during the coming months interning, working, and studying abroad all around the world.

Emma has spent the past two weeks in New York City where she will remain until August as a fashion intern. This summer, she will learn about trend forecasting, content creation, and freelance editorial work under the direction of Kendall Becker.

Elena spent May and early June studying abroad in Scandinavia and is excited to be back in the States preparing to build this year’s Square team. 

Our creative director, Kaitlyn Steinroeder, and team members Sofia Sanchez and Madalyn Dudley are studying abroad in Barcelona with the University of Mississippi’s School of Journalism and New Media.

This is our first month under new direction. We’d like to thank our new directors for their hard work during this transitory period. We appreciate you and your dedication to our magazine.

We’d also like to congratulate the graduating members of Square’s 2022-23 staff! We know you will go on to do great things. Thank you for helping us to make Square into what it is today and for your contribution to what the magazine will become.
