Makeup of the Matriarch: The Kris Collection

Businesswoman and momager-extraordinaire Kris Jenner is famous for many things: her catch-phrases, her children, and her martinis to name a few. Inspired by the latter, her newest collaboration with Kylie Cosmetics, founded by her youngest daughter, is complete with all things dirty martini. This is Kris’s second collection with Kylie Cosmetics; her debut collection launched in May of 2018. 

The collection includes a pressed eyeshadow palette, a powder blush and highlighter duo, a lip crayon set, a lip serum, and under eye patches. The products can be purchased separately, in a bundle, or in the exclusive, signed PR box. 

Some of the packaging sticks with the martini theme, covered in olives or in the shape of a martini glass, while others have a more classic set of pink roses on their covers. The two packaging designs stem from an image of Kris that serves as the inspiration for the collection, picturing her in a lavish, rose-covered ensemble while holding a martini. 

The colors are subdued and natural, to match the matriarch’s elegant style. The names of the eyeshadow palette, however, are not quite as subdued. Ranging from “No Vermouth” to “One Word…Vodka,” each title represents an example of Jenner’s iconic quotability over her years on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians. 

Kylie and Kris posed together for the collection’s promotional shoot in matching all-black outfits, fit with corset details, stilettos, and of course, martinis. While Kris and Kylie Jenner are not the most surprising of duos, any collaboration between the momager and her celebrity daughters is certainly worth keeping an eye out for.
