Best Dressed at the 2022 Emmy Awards

Best Dressed at the 2022 Emmy Awards

By: Briley Rakow

Last night marked the 74th Emmy Awards, the biggest night in television every year. Actors from the year’s most popular shows walked the red carpet, and all eyes were, of course, on the outfits.

Zendaya

No red carpet is complete without the queen of fashion herself. Zendaya, as per usual, awed in a strapless black Valentino gown that would later be seen on stage as she accepted the Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her work in Euphoria

Quinta Brunson

Abbott Elementary, a mockumentary set in an underfunded public school in Philadelphia, has taken the world by storm this year. Quinta Brunson, the writer of the show, was nominated for two Emmys last night and took home the award for Writing in a Comedy Series while wearing a gorgeous, custom metallic Dolce & Gabbana dress paired with shoulder-high sheer gloves.

Sydney Sweeney

Nominated twice for two different shows, Sydney Sweeney made her Emmys debut in a floral Oscar de la Renta dress. Although she did not take home an award, her nominations for The White Lotus and Euphoria were certainly well-deserved.

Rachel Brosnahan

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star donned a Pamella Roland column gown as she celebrated her fifth Emmy nomination.

Andrew Garfield

The internet’s boyfriend was one of many leading men to opt for all-white looks at this year’s Emmys, and he – no surprise to anyone – pulled it off well. This was Garfield’s first nomination, awarded for his role in the limited drama series Under the Banner of Heaven

Alexandra Daddario

Another actress nominated for the successful limited series The White Lotus, Daddario wore a beautifully beaded Dior dress as she walked the red carpet.

HoYeon Jung

Nominated for her performance in the Netflix phenomenon Squid Game, HoYeon Jung was certainly one of the best dressed at the awards ceremony in a chic, pastel Louis Vuitton gown.

Karamo Brown

As one of the stars of Queer Eye, it is no surprise that Karamo Brown proved to be one of the most fashionable men at this years Emmys.

Sandra Oh

Sandra Oh is no stranger to the Emmys, this year nominated for her work in Killing Eve. She turned heads at the red carpet with a glittering purple jumpsuit by Rodarte.

The Emmys may be about celebrating the performances, but the red carpet is about celebrating fashion. Each of the talented actors and actresses in attendance wow audiences with their work, and many of their looks last night left us in almost as much awe as their presence onscreen.
