Coachtopia: A Journey into Coach's Next-Generation Brand

Coachtopia: A Journey into Coach's Next-Generation Brand

By: Claire Watkiss

Coachtopia, an offshoot brand created by the famous leather company, was introduced in April 2023. This new brand aims to promote a circular economy within the fashion industry, meaning that no goods go to waste.

By using waste to create new products, Coachtopia is helping to combat greenhouse gas emissions in the fashion industry, 38% of which come from the production of new materials.

Coachtopia’s product lines feature new, upcoming designers and artists, further building up their sustainable community. A lot of the brand’s inspiration and drive has come from Generation Z, as they are continuing to set expectations for big brands across the world, specifically within the fashion industry. With this generation at the forefront, new ideas are being created that keep change as a constant driver.

According to the European Parliament, a circular economy is, “a model of production and consumption, which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible. In this way, the life cycle of products is extended.” This is exactly what Coachtopia is trying to achieve by innovating their product creation and measuring their impacts. The brand has set standards for itself under its “Made Circular” principles to ensure that they are lowering their carbon footprint within these new processes. While their philosophy has progress in mind over perfection, they are doing their best to learn as they go and create change within this industry.

The first flagship Coachtopia store is located at 143 Prince Street in SoHo.
