Diesel Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

For the Diesel Spring 2026 collection, creative director Glenn Martens did what he does best: he took the fragile shell that is the high fashion runway and shattered it completely.
Instead of a runway show, models, wearing looks from the spring collection, were meticulously placed in 55 transparent egg-shaped capsules and scattered throughout Milan, turning the city into a giant egg hunt.
“No runway. No rules,” Diesel founder Renzo Rosso said via Instagram.
5,000 pre-registered participants scoured the streets of Milan for three and a half hours, scanning QR codes placed on the capsules and following maps that led them to the next egg. The five participants who found the most eggs by the end of the hunt won an entire look of their choosing from the new collection, customized and tailored to them. Other prizes included full-denim looks and iconic Diesel bags.
Martens’s choice to debut the collection to the public was an intentional one. By removing the exclusive runway element, he was able to reinforce his idea that “every single person in the world can be Diesel.”
Although not everyone participated in the hunt simply for the chance to win Diesel products. As models stood as still as statues inside the transparent capsules for hours on end, onlookers were able to get an up-close and thorough look at the collection.
The heart of this collection was, of course, Diesel denim. Martens focused on upcycling and deconstruction, conveying a playful attitude through corroded and oxidized denim. However, the key component of this collection was satin denim made from recycled polyester. The shimmering, eye-catching material ran throughout the collection, appearing in shades of bright green and blue that challenged the dark and industrial setting.
Many of the women’s looks embraced the spring nature of the collection and showcased a new aesthetic rarely seen from the brand. Floral tights were paired with soft, webbed clothing, and muted pinks and pastel yellows dominated the outfits; a deviation from Diesel’s signature color palette.
The show concluded with a party at the egg hunt’s home base, Piazza Beccaria, where guests of the brand, Martens, and Rosso celebrated Rosso’s birthday as well as the success of their innovative Spring 2026 collection.
