Gucci Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

A new era of Gucci roared to life with the daring Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection entitled La Famiglia, the powerful debut of creative director Demna, who took the reins in March 2025. The stunning collection signifies a reassertion and contemporary direction for the Italian house’s identity.
Demna shocked audiences by straying from the traditional catwalk show. Instead, Gucci released a lookbook of 37 portraits captured by Catherine Opie on Sept. 22, before the Milan show. Each framed photo represented an archetype or persona, turning the collection into a living family album centered around the study of “Gucciness,” a term coined by Demna that means the celebration of family, heritage, identity, and luxury. Alongside the images, Gucci premiered The Tiger, a 30-minute short film directed by Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn. The film presented the collection as both fashion couture and performance art.
The premiere of The Tiger served as the main event, with the evening structured more like a red carpet film premiere than a typical fashion show. Attendees arrived, posed in the looks, watched the film, and mingled in the theatrical atmosphere. The fashion and presentation blended to create a narrative as the audience experienced the clothes in portraits, in motion, and on guests in real life.
Demna struck the perfect balance, pairing dramatic lavishness with moderation that kept audiences engaged and excited. On one hand, he offered clothes for extravagant nights out, including jaw-dropping feathered opera coats and stunning metallic evening gowns. On the other hand, he delivered sensational casual looks featuring layered knits and leather bomber jackets; simple yet full of personality and flair. All the garments showcased sharp tailoring and sensual cuts.
The color palette ranged from deep blacks and rich golds to neutrals and jewel tones. Materials like leather, silks, metallics, and sheer overlays were also prominent. The collection took a coed approach, magnificently blurring the line between menswear and womenswear.
Demna paid homage to Gucci’s heritage with many pieces referencing classic Gucci staples such as the GG monograms, bamboo handle bags, and the iconic Flora prints.
Celebrity attendees included Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, Serena Williams, Lila Moss, and many others—all dressed head to toe in Gucci.
Gucci’s Spring Summer 2026 collection broke away from the conventional runway format and transformed fashion into a celebration of character, heritage, and storytelling. With La Famiglia, Demna reminded everyone that Gucci is at its best when it is bold, glamorous, and just a little playful, leaving audiences eager to see what he will bring to Gucci next.
