Hanifa introduced “Hanifa, In the City,” a bold collection embracing femininity this September. With soft textures and vibrant colorways, the Fall/Winter 2023 collection exudes Anifa Mvuemba’s freedom of expression and showcases her innovative designs.

The Taliah Maxi is a masterful representation of ombré with orange and blue hues and a wave-like pattern of ribbed, knit fabric and alluring cutouts.

One of the most interesting pieces to be introduced was the Sacha Top, an off-the-shoulder, avant-garde geometrical top with an asymmetrical hemline. In pink, this statement piece has a similar wave-like pattern to the Taliah Maxi. Made from a bandage material, the Sacha Mini Skirt is a unique piece in pink with layered loop detailing along the hem. Pair these two products together and you are guaranteed to command the attention of each room you walk in.

Hanifa elevates the idea of business casual with the Kleo Jumpsuit. Whether you are in the office or at an evening event, this jumpsuit’s flip-over waistline detail and racer neckline culminate in a flattering silhouette.

With a three-dimensional jacquard knit and detachable shoulders, the Clarissa Mini is a long-sleeved mini dress with spacing to create an accentuation at the waist, a peplum hem, a belt loop, and a heavy, orange knit material, making it perfect for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.

The Nikita Maxi in orange catches attention with its waist cutout and deep V-neckline. This knit maxi-length dress includes exaggerated long sleeves with a cuff option, pearl glass buttoning, and braided hooks and reel loops.

If you are looking for an example of NYC glamor, look towards the Fay Double Breasted Coat. Think of a trench coat and gown combination. This floor-length, pink fay wool trench includes detachable shoulder pads, hidden zippers, and functional pockets. This unique piece is nothing shy of expressive.

Put a spin on your typical turtleneck with the Riya Sweater. This comfortable, knit cropped sweater comes in orange, adding a bold pop with the combined dropped shoulders.

The Imani Top is an interesting combination of a sweater and scarf, with the cropped turtleneck being attached to a matching knit scarf.

Transition into the fall with the Tani Top in ocean blue. With bold cuffs and hooks and reel loops with iridescent, pearl-like buttons, this cropped cotton knit is the perfect tailored statement piece.

Looking for pants to pair with the Riya, Imani, or Tani tops? The Willow Wide Leg Pants II are a thicker version of the Willow Pants from the spring/summer collection. With sculptural pleats and an exaggerated flare, these pants are an essential wardrobe piece. The Kleo trousers redefine the straight-legged trouser and take on a new business casual look with a flip-over detail at the waist and front-to-back wrapped pockets.

With tuxedo detailing, a detachable hoop skirt, and a halter neckline, the Luna Halter Gown is the “it” moment of Hanifa’s latest collection. This design completely flips the idea of a traditional gown with a tuxedo style and mermaid tail.

If you are looking for the perfect shoes to pair with these pieces, try the Solana Mule Sandals in chrome. This shoe adds to other collection pieces with a 3.5-inch heel, cow leather, and a genuine leather outsole.

Mvuemba’s designs for the Hanifa Fall/Winter 2023 are the perfect farewell to summer and a powerful entrance into fall and winter.
