Khaite Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, Catherine Holstein, designer and founder of Khaite, has showcased her Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection. Holstein experimented with strong silhouettes, proportions, and bold textures and materials such as distressed leather—all with a hint of playfulness.

Models appeared on a dark, foggy runway, weaving atop a pool of water and wacky glacier-like objects. A central theme for Holstein was, as she directly named backstage, “confidence through insecurity.” It was not about perfection. It was about the beauty and character of imperfection and deconstruction. Raw edges and asymmetry were heavily prominent to convey this idea.

The opening look’s leather blazer immediately made a statement. The different uses of material and structure made for strong versatility and contrast, while still upholding an idea of luxury and sophistication. What was different about this collection was the nod to imperfection. By sticking to a neutral palette with pops of color and playful patterns and prints, such as polka dots, Holstein reimagined the idea of clean and reliable fashion. There were also some nods to Western style, featured through indigo denim, buckled belts, fisherman jackets, and more.

The dresses were experimental, reconstructed with tulle and other fabrics to create different shapes and add playful touches. Patterns like large polka dots created a less rigid twist that made for the idea of youth and roughness.

Footwear such as moccasins with kitten heels, loafers, strappy sandals, and snakeskin slingback heels elevated the looks.

Whether it was an asymmetrical structured blazer, a dramatic cocktail dress dressed up with tulle, or a bold polka-dot maxi skirt, this collection was familiar for Khaite yet unpredictable in the best way possible.
