Loungewear Elevated
Loungewear Elevated

Cozy, oversized, coordinating sets – the staple of the last year. Let’s admit it: everyone spent quite an excessive amount of money on adorable matching sweatshirts and joggers over quarantine. I found myself continuously buying more because comfortable work-from-home sets were the star of my wardrobe. When new clothes have qualities and characteristics that speak for themselves, how can you resist?
Now that more places are slowly reopening, we are in a place where we have loungewear overflowing from our drawers while not necessarily being required to stay home.
Thus, the era of dressing up your loungewear to adapt to different occasions has been born. This highly street-style-oriented trend dominates the fashion world and is plastered on our social media feeds, and I am all here for it.
The variations are vast with this trend. Some of my favorite combinations include pairing a leather jacket and chunky sneakers with your favorite sweat set.
Some of the trends that I am noticing at the moment include layering blazers, puffer coats, and vests with your loungewear. Wear lug sole boots or sneakers, and you are ready to bring all eyes on you, especially those who are jealous of how you can pull off comfort and style in one look.
Loungewear is having a monochrome moment, and the obsession is real! Layer your brightest set with a bold, statement coat, or go the neutral route with a more muted-tone pairing dressed up with your favorite outerwear piece.
Lucky for us all, this trend has no definite end in sight! Take it and run with it – the possibilities are endless. Put your own twist on this trend and create infinite combinations with pieces already hanging in your closest. Besides, what is better than an outfit that can be worn from the couch to the grocery, to grab lunch, to go for a walk, and everything in-between?
