September 16, Swiss athletic wear company On showed off a new collection in collaboration with British musician FKA Twigs at London Fashion Week.

September 16, Swiss athletic wear company On showed off a new collection in collaboration with British musician FKA Twigs at London Fashion Week. The collection, titled “THE BODY IS ART,” is the newest of the brand’s training line. The collaboration is some of Twigs’s first work as a creative partner with the company.

The show was centered around a dance-focused musical performance by FKA Twigs in which she and her dancers donned the new collection. Each person on stage was clad in black athleticwear. The show did a great job of showcasing these athletic pieces —  often seen as unstylish — in a unique and fashionable way. FKA Twigs was seen in a backward sports bra and covered in athletic tape, creating a dramatic and impressive look with these otherwise “normal” pieces.

The energetic show attempted to bridge the gap between performance and training, matching well with On’s reputation as a sportswear company. As FKA Twigs pushed her body well beyond standard limits, she subconsciously conveyed the fact that many people never approach the full potential of their body’s capabilities. This is exactly what On’s training line, specifically “THE BODY IS ART” collection, strives to change.
