Retrofête Fall 2024 Ready-to-Wear

Retrofête is a New York-based fashion brand that was founded by Ohad Seroya and husband Aviad Klin. Seroya was born and raised in Israel and knew he wanted to pursue a career in fashion as young as 16 years old. Before Retrofête was created, Seroya and Klin worked with private labels until they decided to create their own in 2018. Retrofête combines vintage clothing with modernity to create looks that are uniquely eye-catching. The name itself is a combination of synonyms for “vintage” and “party.” Whether it is a sparkling silk gown or a vintage denim jacket, Retrofête has an outfit for every night out.

It is fitting that the brand’s fall 2024 runway show was held at The Plaza, an iconic 5-star hotel managed by Fairmont New York. The crowd was full as red mood lighting took over the space and the first model appeared wearing a checkered trench coat. The collection focused on reinterpreting modern workwear and encapsulating the fierce energy of powerful women. Seroya designed the collection to honor the duality of women, saying, “This feeling comes to life through my designs, unveiling the collection’s focal point: The Alpha Woman.” The runway show encapsulated a woman who is both a professional and a femme fatale by including sophisticated business and sultry nightlife looks. 

Retrofête debuted tailored suits, cinched blazer dresses, pinstripes, and coordinated sets as part of the professional aspect of the collection. These styles were bold and fearless with bows and color-blocking adding femininity. Red dresses, lace garters, and corset bodices catered to those looking for an outfit for a night on the town. Many of the designs included fur coats and leather jackets that are perfect for the September release date of the collection.

Retrofête perfectly executed the essence of an alpha woman with their striking fall 2024 runway show. The collection itself is much like that of a strong woman – confident, alluring, and absolutely glamorous.
