Simone Rocha Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear

By Jane Dunn — March 4, 2025

Simone Rocha’s fall 2025 collection was nothing short of a love letter to memory, nostalgia, and imagination, all wrapped up in the softest silks, most luxurious furs, and bold, playful footwear. Rocha said the collection was majorly inspired by “The Tortoise and Hare,” a tale that she took to heart in this collection.

The collection was a mix of fluid, ethereal silks, and voluminous tulle, contrasted with structured velvet and wool that gave everything a sense of grounding. The silk, with its deconstructed, shredded edges, felt rebellious and bold, while the soft tulle added this almost dream-like quality.

The color palette was dreamy, with deep jewel tones like emerald, olive green, burgundy, and black—paired with softer neutrals like baby pink and beige. The colors screamed nostalgia and maintained a certain fairytale-like whimsy. The gold and silver metallic accents sprinkled throughout the collection added just the right amount of shine.

When it came to shoes, Rocha really showed her playful side. Fuzzy ballet flats were super soft, cozy, and had just the right amount of quirkiness. They had a carefree, innocent vibe with a luxurious edge. Sparkly red shoes were the main event. The sequins caught the light in the most magical way, making sure all eyes were on them. They were bold, dramatic, and unapologetically fun.

But Rocha didn’t stop there. Like always, it’s in the details that you find the smallest stories.

Fiona Shaw walked the runway in a black duchesse satin egg dress, cinched at the shoulders and knees with bicycle lock chains, a nod to the classic behind-the-bike-sheds teenage drama: stolen kisses, whispered gossip, and maybe even a sneaky cigarette. They also beautifully captured the feeling of restraint that often comes with youth.

Faux fur hares were worn as stoles and clutched at the hip, and coats were sliced into ribbons from the hemline up; a trick Rocha repeated with silk jacquard dresses bound with pink ribbon and in her signature tinsel-strafed bouclé tweed. The effect? Controlled chaos.

The soft silks and delicate textures were like the tortoise—thoughtful and steady—while the bold, fast-moving elements like the red sparkly shoes were the hare, representing the moments of excitement that come along the way.

This collection was a reflection of Rocha’s journey — slow, steady, and always thoughtful, with bursts of energy and fantasy along the way. It was a celebration of her past, her growth, and how memories shape who we are.

Life is all about balance, and this collection nailed it.
