Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime look was more than just an outfit—it was carefully curated to make a symbolic statement. Lamar donned a custom Martine varsity jacket with the words “GLORIA” across the back, paying homage to the closing track of his 2024 album GNX. Most notoriously, Lamar sported $1,300 Celine flared jeans. This sparked conversation online and further revived early 2000s fashion trends that have been prevalent lately. Lamar opting for a silhouette traditionally associated with women’s fashion challenged the conventional norms in men’s style. This choice of pants reinforced the growing fluidity in modern fashion.
Lamar did not stop there. He paired the eye-catching jacket and jeans with Nike Air DT Max ‘96 sneakers and a $68,000 diamond brooch with a lowercase “a.” This pendant subtly referenced his rivalry with Drake, combining his fashion choices with personal symbolism.
SZA commanded attention and amplified her stage presence with an all-red outfit; a bold display of power and confidence. Her custom leather outfit was designed by Ashton Michael, Kate Broadrick, and Born x Raised. It seamlessly blended with the stage’s fiery aesthetic and created a visually cohesive presence.
SZA’s fur hip belt and custom sneakers added an edge to her look by blending high fashion with a laid-back twist. Her blazing red hair complemented her performance, enhancing its intensity and impact.
