What We’re Loving in February Fashion

January felt like three months rolled into one, so we, and just about everyone else, are excited for the month of Love to be in full swing. February is here, and it brings with it a new roundup of styles that are sure to make everyone excited. I know I am not alone when I explain how ready I am for a wardrobe refresh – spring style. For a little look into what will be trending this month and the months to follow, check out the style inspiration below.
Shackets
This style made a strong appearance this fall, and it is here to stay. During these cold transition months when the weather can’t make up its mind, shirt-jackets are a great way to style a casual outfit while staying warm. The variations in style of this piece are endless, from cropped length to warm colors, to cool tones, to oversized fitting, and everywhere in between. BRB while I go add ten more shackets to my cart because they are a need, not just a want.
Loungewear Turned Chic
A 2020 trend that is here to stay, and we are not mad about it at all. I am slightly obsessed with those taking their loungewear to the streets, dressing it up for the occasion. Take your favorite matching sweatpant set, layer your favorite blazer, and you have a highly comfortable and highly fashionable look that is sure to bring all eyes on you.
Layering
Layering is being seen more and more, and it is an easy way to create fashion-forward outfits using pieces you already have in your closet. The possibilities are endless, from layering under dresses, over sweaters, stacking jewelry, and so much more. One of my favorite approaches to this trend is layering a tight-fitting turtleneck sweater under your favorite graphic tee with a pair of baggy, straight-leg jeans. Doing so gives you a stand-out street style look that is versatile for many occasions.
Bright Colors
It seems like everyone is ready to ditch the warm, neutral color family and jump right into the vibrant spring colors. Bright hues bring a lot of happiness and excitement for what is ahead, and we are all looking forward to what 2021 has in store. Bold pinks, oranges, yellows, and blues are going to be dominating the fashion scene, making us dream of the warm weather and good times ahead of us.
Oversized Button-Ups
The quarantine-15 didn’t do anyone any favors, which I believe is much of the reason why oversized pieces will be all the rage this year. Go ahead and say your farewells to your favorite super-tight tops and bodycon dresses because loose-fitting and roomy silhouettes are here and here to stay.
Monochrome
I am a sucker for a monochromatic look. It is so sleek and clean, and it guarantees to bring all eyes on you. Whether you go down an all-white route or go bold with an all-pink look, you are sure to be the star of the show.
Clogs
I’ll have to admit, I am a little slow to hop on to the clog trend, but they are growing on me. Clogs are everywhere this spring, so we all need to prepare ourselves. This style is not for everyone, but they sure are comfortable, and isn’t everyone all for comfort now?
