Square Spotlight: Gracie Hampton

Square Spotlight: Gracie Hampton

By: Elena Ossoski

Since falling in love with Ole Miss while strolling through the Grove, Gracie Hampton, a senior from St. Louis, Missouri, has spent her days in Oxford, Mississippi enjoying the beauty it has to offer in style. Hampton’s keen eye for style has continued to grow at an exponential rate ever since her weekly routine of planning her outfits for local concerts kickstarted her love for fashion during her sophomore year of high school.

“My best friend, Coco, and I would go to the St. Louis version of Bonnaroo every summer and hang out in the front row for at least twelve hours a day. Picking out our outfits together and enjoying the music are some of the best memories I have.”

As a social media ambassador for the University, Hampton feels that focusing her academic studies in Integrated Marketing Communications was the right move. Hampton hopes that her forming years at the University will propel her into a bountiful career in the social media field post-grad.

Her professional talents aside, Hampton never ceases to amaze with her one-of-a-kind sartorial expressions. Inspired by concert culture and her fashion industry friends in New York City, Hampton’s style communicates an eclectic approach to dressing that marries minimalism and maximalism simultaneously to portray harmony and ease.

“I'm a big Pinterest girl. I get a lot of inspiration from all of the photos I come across, especially from the Djerf sisters, Amanda and Matilda.”

You can easily spot Hampton out in Oxford rocking her favorite bone-colored cowboy boots that were passed down to her from her mom. From enjoying the town’s local parks to spending time with friends at her favorite restaurants in town, Hampton’s style will always be noteworthy.
