What’s in My Cart: October 2021

Living in a small college town with limited boutiques to frequent, I find myself constantly scrolling online, searching for new pieces to add to my closet and my makeup drawer. With the weather beginning to cool down, my eyes have been drawn to warmer pieces to add to my collection for the fall. Here are the top five things I have recently been eager to purchase.
It is never too early to look for an outfit for an upcoming holiday. At least, that is my theory. While mindlessly browsing Instagram I stumbled upon a dress perfect for Thanksgiving. The style of this dress is unlike anything I have seen before and looks extremely comfortable yet stylish, perfect to wear while chowing down on turkey and stuffing.
Anything and everything platform always catch my eye. I am so glad UGG has made a comeback as they were my go-to shoe throughout my middle school years. Aside from comfort, I feel as though these slippers could be a way to jazz up a casual outfit. Bringing back the 2000s completely, these slippers could pair well with an all too familiar pair of flare yoga pants along a half, zip-up hoodie. I might just have to pull out the old sherpa Patagonia sweatshirt from the back of my closet after all.
Over the summer while on a Sephora run, I got to talking with an associate who introduced me to this product by Drybar. In less than three months I have used all four ounces of it and am in need of a new bottle. This magical serum helps to speed up the drying of your hair. For me, whether I am actually going to blow dry my hair or just let it air dry, a few pumps of this product applied throughout is a miracle worker.
As a denim hoarder, a new pair of jeans always seems like a good idea. A few months back I purchased a pair of jeans from Zara and have not stopped wearing them. This is enough justification for me to want them in every color now. They have a flawless fit; snug in all of the right places with a little flare at the hem elevates an outfit instantly. Plus, you cannot beat the price. Jeans under $40? I think yes.
In spite of already having a tried and true brow product in my collection, there is never any harm in experimenting with something new. I have been obsessed with the pulled-up brow look, and now my makeup routine is never complete without combing up my eyebrows. This product intrigues me with its glycerin and olive oil properties, which are said to “condition, soften, and protect the brows and skin.” It also contains growth peptides, contributing to healthy new growth for your brows.
