2022 is Looking Very Peri

It’s that time of year again. The Christmas season is lingering and the new year will be here before we know it. Color fanatics and luxury designers across the world are equally thrilled at the highly anticipated announcement of Pantone’s color of the year. Very Peri, the richest shade of periwinkle, has been dubbed the paint company’s go-to hue for 2022.

The fashion industry has taken a liking to this yearly tradition. The obsession that pop culture has with Pantone’s annual decision may have a great deal to do with the trends that coincidentally appear on the runway soon after, or maybe it truly is just a great shade to work with.

If Very Peri is in our wardrobes’ futures, we’ll be doing a service to ourselves: having some fun. I cannot imagine anything other than a party dress or two in the shade of a childhood nostalgia-inducing purple to send us off into the new year on a high note.
