This award season has been nothing short of amazing, and the 96th Academy Awards was a night to remember, with many firsts for some of the most beloved stars in film.
The night opened with an ode to the nominees for Best Actress in a Supporting Role by Lupita Nyong’o, Regina King, Rita Moreno, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Mary Steenburgen. Nyong’o dazzled as she wore a baby blue Armani Privé gown with a plunging V neckline covered in crystals with feathers at the waist and hem. The look was paired with diamond bracelets, rings, and drop earrings.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph accepted her first Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in The Holdovers, wearing a shimmering pale blue custom Louis Vuitton gown that featured boa-like sleeves and a long sheer train.
Dune star Zendaya arrived on the red carpet in a one-shoulder Armani Privé gown in metallic silver and pink palm tree detailing, paired with Bulgari statement jewelry.
Margot Robbie and America Ferrera from the beloved movie Barbie were dressed in shimmering Versace. Ferrera, nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, wore a pink custom Atelier Versace pink gown, paired with Pomellato jewelry. Styled by Andrew Mukamal, Margot Robbie wore a strapless Versace dress from the Fall 2024 collection and Fred Leighton jewelry.
Sandra Hüller wore a Schiaparelli exaggerated off-the-shoulder black gown. Nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Anatomy of a Fall.
Carey Mulligan was nominated for Best Actress in a Lead Role for her part in Maestro. Mulligan graced the red carpet in a custom Balenciaga Couture gown. The strapless design featured a flared black-to-white mermaid skirt with black evening gloves.
Nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Killers of the Flower Moon, Lily Gladstone wore a strapless blue velvet Gucci gown, a collaborative design with Indigenous artist Joe Big Mountain. Gladstone is the first Native American woman to be nominated for a Lead Actress Academy Award.
Emma Stone wore a strapless custom mint Louis Vuitton gown with a flared waist and shell detailing as she accepted the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Poor Things.
Wicked co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande presented the Academy Award for Best Original Song to Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas Baird O'Connell for “What Was I Made For?” in Barbie.
Ariana Grande wore a custom pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. This look caught the eyes of the audience as the strapless gown carried a ruched bodice and a vast cape. Cynthia Erivo wore a custom Louis Vuitton dark green leather gown with a deep V-neck and voluminous ruffled shoulders that trailed down her back.
