Tory Burch x Humberto Leon

Tory Burch x Humberto Leon

By Tyler Leik

While renovations are underway on Rodeo Drive, Tory Burch has ventured over to Melrose Avenue for a new concept shop in collaboration with restaurateur and fashion icon Humberto Leon.

The new concept store is feline themed, despite Leon’s allergies to cats. Portraits commissioned from photographer Walter Schels depict a game of cat and mouse across the walls of the establishment.

The playfulness of the store is brought to life through vibrant pink ceramic benches, shag carpet, and unique displays. Along the walls, the racks house Burch’s latest collection next to a capsule collection of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and tote bags, all curated to last.

“In your closet, everything is equal. Your concept t-shirt you got when you were 18 is as valuable as the latest runway piece,” Leon claims.

This collaboration epitomizes creativity, promotes playful merchandising, and provides unique ways to look at wearing and styling clothes.
