Best Dressed at the Dune: Part Two NYC Premiere

Best Dressed at the Dune: Part Two NYC Premiere

By Aliza Warner

The Dune: Part Two press tour has garnered excitement for the newest sci-fi film and presented incredible fashion moments from the cast. For the last stop of the press tour, the final premiere at the Lincoln Center in New York City brought plenty of red-carpet looks, with many following the “method-styling” technique, matching the energy and aesthetics of the Dune world.

Sofia Carson in Stephané Rolland Couture

One of the first arrivals on the red carpet, Carson wore a stark, cobalt blue gown with a sizable hood-like neckline, an exquisite and futuristic look fitting for Dune.

Timothée Chalamet in Prada

Matching the colors of the deserts his character, Paul Atredies, connects with, Chalamet wore an all-leather look with a light-brown top and simple black leather pants, accessorizing the look with sunglasses.

Amelia Dimoldenburg in Harris Reed

Interviewing the cast and crew for the red carpet livestream on Instagram and TikTok, Dimoldenburg wore a black gown with a corset-like silhouette and black opera gloves.

Rebecca Ferguson in Olivier Theyskens

In a very edgy and punk-inspired look, Ferguson (who plays Lady Jessica) wore a mesh, embroidered dress with a leg slit and knee-high leather boots. This look also had multi-layered necklaces and chains for accessories.

Austin Butler in Haider Ackerman

Another modern look with elements of the sci-fi aesthetic, Butler (who plays Feyd-Rautha) wore a classic suit. His shirt sleeves had silver jeweled cuffs that shined under his off-white suit jacket, a small detail that is a great nod to the futuristic theme.

Florence Pugh in Valentino Couture

A perfect look for someone playing a sci-fi princess, Pugh (who plays Princess Irulan) wore an ethereal gray halter gown paired with shimmering silver eye makeup and nails to match.

Anya Taylor-Joy in Maison Margiela Couture

After confirming she will be playing a role in Dune: Part Two at the London premiere, Taylor-Joy returns to the red carpet wearing a look that has two gowns in one, with a fitted gold dress layered under a sheer, black halter gown.

Zendaya in Stephané Rolland Couture

Continuing her amazing streak of showstopping looks, Zendaya wore a white gown with gold embellishments around the dress’s hem and a distinctive, elongated cut-out in the front of the look.

Myha’la Herrold in Miu Miu

Stylish and shimmering, Herrold donned an all-gold look with a yellow ribbon wrapped around the hips, mixing sci-fi with 1920s glamor.

Léa Seydoux in custom Louis Vuitton

Another newcomer in the Dune cast, Seydoux (who plays Lady Margot Fenring), brings regalness in her white and gold halter gown with flowing white cape sleeves.

With so many memorable looks from this premiere and the many beforehand, this press tour is one of the most fashionable in recent history. But the question is now - will the creative "method-styling" trend continue in other upcoming film and television press tours this year? We sure hope so; it is always exciting to see.

Dune: Part Two is in theaters everywhere on March 1, 2024.
