Chanel Resort 2023

Chanel Resort 2023

By: Elena Ossoski

Creative director Virginie Viard takes Chanel to new speeds with the latest resort collection. Inspired by and set in Monaco, the collection embraces fire engine red as a key hue. The unusual color choice alongside the house’s traditional black and white pairing created a complete line of garments worth coveting.

The DNA of Chanel is present in every piece, but there is nothing drab about these silhouettes. Playful fits, sheer fabrics, and colorful embellishments infiltrated by Viard into the latest collection make Chanel synonymous with modernity.

The 80s influence is apparent and refreshing in today’s climate of Y2K obsession.

While nodding at the roots of the house, this gown maintains the element of surprise with Viard’s choice of fabric and silhouette.
