Chemena Kamali unveiled her first collection as Chloé Creative Director in the heart of Paris. Frilly fabrics and chunky accessories dominated the runway, graced with a boho flare.
As a former intern under Phoebe Philo and design director of Saint Laurent, Kamali is no stranger to luxury fashion. Named the “Intuition Collection,” Kamalis’ debut show fused inspiration from the iconic Karl Lagerfeld and early-mid 2000s nostalgia. “I want to bring back the feeling I had when I first stepped through the doors here 20 years ago and fell in love with the Chloé woman’s spirit,” Kamali wrote in the show notes.
The juxtaposition displayed between soft and hard elements blended seamlessly through airy blouses paired with accessories like over-the-knee boots and chunky gold belts spelling “Chloe.”
Bohemian elegance played a pivotal role, with flowing silhouettes, intricate lace details, and delicate embroidery. Models floated down the runway in billowing dresses with a sense of effortlessness, layered with oversized knitwear and tailored coats that added a touch of urban chic. Earthy hues dominated the collection, with rich burgundies and deep forest greens setting the tone for the upcoming season.
Chloé’s fall 2024 collection at Paris Fashion Week left a notable mark on the fashion landscape. With its intentional blend of bohemian elegance, unconventional accessories, and a celebration of the brand as a whole, the collection stands as a testament to the Chloé woman’s spirit.
