As the weather changes and the constants of autumn such as college football and changing leaves continue to drive on, fall wedding season begins. A wedding is a unique occasion for men’s and women’s fashion. Within the given guidelines, guests can be formal and explore stylistic opportunities they might not have at other events.

Like all things in fashion, the suit is a longtime staple in formalwear and has moved cyclically. With the growth of men’s fashion on social media, we see an increased number of men looking either to the past or out of the box for style inspiration. This is no different for formalwear. With that being said, we are going to highlight some of our favorite suit looks for the fall wedding circuit.

Earth Tones

Don’t feel trapped by navy, black, and gray suits. There are plenty of colors that work well for formal requirements and show more personality. Some of the best earth tones for the fall are brown and dark green.

Classic Fit 

At some point in the past 30 years, men decided to stray away from classic fit suits to move toward slim-fitting options. To elevate your style this wedding season, switch it up and go with a comfier, baggier retro-fit suit that will have grandparents and parents asking, “Who’d you get that suit from?”

Looking into fabrics “outside the norm” is one of the best ways to upgrade formal style. Whether it is wool, tweed, corduroy, or cashmere, changing the texture of your suit to what best fits your personal style is a great way to look and feel better.
