Miu Miu Spring-Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear

Miu Miu, especially in the past few years, has become one of the chicest brands in today’s fashion industry. After reviving low-waisted mini skirts and shorts, the brand launched the sustainable Upcycled by Miu Miu collection. Presented at the end of Paris Fashion Week, the latest collection by Miuccia Prada continues to bring stylish looks that are both invigorating and versatile.
One of the many notable details in this collection is the diverse yet cohesive color scheme. Many looks consisted of earthier tones with pastel greens, browns, and blues – a great homage to the spring and summer seasons. We also see many outfits sticking with a darker palette, uniting black, white, and gray throughout different looks. Brighter neon colors like yellow, green, and pink also appear in this collection, vividly moving across the runway, especially in accessories and shoes.
Some of the pieces incorporated characteristics typically found in athletic wear, but these qualities are displayed in more subtle ways. The light and breezy fabric of the jackets and sporty headbands paired with multiple outfits dominated the collection.
Of course, we must discuss the continuation of Miu Miu’s latest signature: mini skirts and shorts. This collection displays a range of styling — low-waisted mini and maxi skirts paired with crop tops, oversized blazers, and coats.
The array of fabrics used in the collection added an exciting element to the outfits, keeping each look unique and fun. From denim used in suits and mesh fabrics for tops to various uses of leather, Miu Miu had no shortage of fabrics and textures to add dimension to their pieces.
Miu Miu displays versatile, wearable looks for everyday life while remaining creative and imaginative. On Miu Miu’s Instagram, a post showing a few photos from the show is captioned, “Fashion itself is part of real life,” which is a perfect sentiment to capture this collection’s essence.
