The Latest from The Row

The Latest from The Row

By: Elena Ossoski

Once upon a time in Paris, France, The Row stopped the show yet again. Named after the community of artisan tailors and seamstresses on Savile Row, The Row is a luxury fashion house that values the powerful combination of the perfect fit and the highest quality textiles. At the helm of The Row are none other than Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. For anyone unfamiliar with The Row, the Olsen twins’ infamous – and logical, in light of their instinctive knack for style – career switch may have flown under the radar.

True to the brand’s DNA, the pre-fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection is all about tailoring. The sharp lines that define every natural fold and crease in a jacket or pair of trousers are nothing short of true craftsmanship in the purest sense of the word. Along with the newest additions to the brand’s backbone of perfected wardrobe essentials, the collection served us a springtime surprise of St. Lucia-ready hues and knits.

Crochets in an angelic white and emerald green seem to have been the collection’s subtle nod to its founders’ notorious bohemian flair. New structures and shades that stray from the brand’s classic, refined core were welcomed with open arms.

Juxtaposing the polished bones of this collection is the enticing comforter dress that could make any evening out feel like sleeping in on a long weekend.

Accessories were used to bridge the different moods that the collection fuels. Gloves of every length showed that this winter essential can be styled at any time of year. To finish off all of the looks, tube socks with sneakers or simple flip-flops were paired with understated leather bags or nothing at all.

With such sartorial breadth to choose from, spring cannot come soon enough. The now-blossoming season of autumn will come and go – as will winter – and the warmer months ahead will be here before we know it. The Row has just confirmed that our wardrobes will be prepared for it. Whether it is for sunning on a luxurious, white sand beach, or taking a Sunday stroll through the local farmer’s market, The Row will be the obvious answer to, “What should I wear today?”
