Three Winter Looks Inspired by Taylor Swift’s Album: Folklore
By: Mary Boyte
Have you had Taylor Swift’s album Folklore on repeat since the leaves changed? Swift surprised fans by dropping her eighth studio album in June, but it just reminds me of fall! Each song has all the good vibes associated with this season--it is dreamy and whimsical.
Beyond the music, one of the best things about Folklore is the cozy fashion Swift released with it in her album photos. If you want an effortless yet stylish wardrobe update, look no further.
Look One: The Cable Knit Sweater
One of the most iconic photos from Swift’s new album is the glowy, dreamy photo of her sitting with messy space buns in her hair and a cream-colored, cable knit turtleneck sweater. A classic look for cooler weather in general is made extra special by Swift.
This sweater from H and M looks very similar to the one Swift dons in the photo.
Bonus: H and M is committed to sustainable fashion, so you can feel good while making your purchase.
Look Two: The Checkered Pencil Skirt
Next, check out Swift’s black-and-white look, where she pairs a checkered pencil midi skirt with a scallop-edged white, flowy top. The look is equally elegant and whimsical.
This plaid skirt from J. Crew isn’t an exact match but brings in the same vibes as Swift’s black and white gingham skirt. Pair it with this adorable button up from ModCloth, and you’ve got your Folklore-inspired outfit.
Look Three: The Plaid Coat
Arguably the most iconic look from Swift’s new era is the plaid coat. This photo contains the whole vibe of Folklore. It’s cozy and dreamy--with a coat to match. There are lots of plaid jackets out there, but this one from H and M hits the nail on the head. It’s made from wool with a linen lining. Toss this coat on, stick your hands in the pockets, hit play on your Folklore playlist and soak up the autumn vibes.
Add these cozy pieces into your wardrobe for the most stylish seasonal look! With these Taylor-inspired looks, you can dive into fall fashion in the best possible way.
