As an award-winning actress, businesswoman, philanthropist, fashion icon, writer, and mother of two, there seems to be nothing Gwyneth Paltrow cannot do.
Paltrow began her acting career at the ripe age of seventeen and quickly gained public attention after her work in films such as Seven (1995), Emma (1996), Sliding Doors (1998), Shakespeare in Love (1998), and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999). Her early acting career is not a surprise as Paltrow’s family had a history of working in the entertainment industry. Her mother Blythe Danner was an actress, her father Bruce Paltrow a director, and her godfather is none other than Steven Spielberg. Although her family provided her with all the tools she needed in order to become an actress, her successful career and award-winning work is due to her own skill and determination, with an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, and Primetime Emmy Award all under her belt.
In 2008, Paltrow founded Goop in her kitchen as a weekly newsletter, and eventually it grew into a wellness and lifestyle brand. The company offers beauty and wellness products, a fashion line called G. Label, a podcast, a print magazine, cooking products and tableware, travel content and more. Goop also has a documentary series currently running on Netflix that shares the company’s story.
Gwyneth Paltrow is known as one of Hollywood’s most philanthropic women, donating to a multitude of different charities such as the American Cancer Society, Act Green, and the Hoping Foundation. Paltrow is also the artist ambassador for Save the Children and on the board of the Robin Hood Foundation.
Paltrow never fails to impress in her fashion choices, and recently, she has taken to Instagram to sport her everyday styles. Her style is mostly casual-chic, which effortlessly impresses. She tends to wear very little makeup and often sports her own brand, G. Label, giving her fans and followers an authentic look at how to style the clothes on a day-to-day basis.
Paltrow has always had a deep love for cooking, and shares it with her fans in her two cookbooks. Her first cookbook, My Father’s Daughter, came out and made the New York Times bestseller list in 2011, with her second, It’s All Good, following in 2013. In her cooking, Paltrow focuses on a lot of gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegetable-focused recipes.
Paltrow has remained in the limelight over the decades due to her ambition and creativity in all aspects of her extensive career.
